About us

Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival is a vibrant celebration of community and culture. Featuring competitions in art, fashion, and writing, alongside stage shows, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy yourself, the festival offers something for everyone.

We are especially committed to supporting young people. All primary and high school students can enter competitions, attend shows, and take part in most activities free of charge. A highlight of the program is the Youth Showcase, a special event for participants aged 5–16.

The festival is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers. From the management committee to event coordinators, backstage crews, ushers, administrators, and marketing teams—plus those who simply step in wherever needed—every contribution helps bring the festival to life.

Get involved—whether as a volunteer or as a performer. Actors, singers, comedians, and creatives of all kinds are welcome. It’s a rewarding way to connect with others and help keep the festival thriving.

The festival is presented by the Boonah & District Cultural Foundation, sponsored by Ritchies IGA, and supported by Scenic Rim Regional Council.
