Paint: Oil, Watercolour and acrylic.
Works on Paper: Pastels, pencil and ink.
Mixed Media: More than one medium or material has been used
Photography
3D: Sculpture, pottery, jewelry, felting and other art forms that are not attached to a board, canvas or paper.
Students (High School and Primary School) can enter any category. They are displayed in the Youth section. Prizes are awarded across the whole section, regardless of the category.
People’s Choice. Most popular work voted on by visitors to the art exhibition.

Drop-off
Artwork can be dropped off at the Boonah Cultural Centre on Sunday 24th and August and Monday 25th August from 9am – 12noon.

Entry Conditions
- The festival goal is to showcase and celebrate personal skill and ingenuity therefore no AI (Artificial Intelligence) is permitted.
- Each work must be clearly marked on the back with name of the artist, title of work, category (and selling price if applicable).
- Entries must be the original and sole work of the artist and have been completed within the last 12 months.
- Paint, Works on Paper, Photography and Mixed Media must be suitable for hanging with D hooks or wires, except for Student entries which can be on paper.
- The maximum size of an art work is 1.2m x 1.2m. The artist must provide an easel for larger works.
- The aim of the Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival is to support artists therefore no sales commission will be applied.
- Entries may be refused if deemed unsuitable or inappropriate.
- It is the judge’s prerogative to award prizes. 2nd prize may only be awarded where there are 4 or more entries in one category.
- The Judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Entrants give permission for their work to be photographed for publicity.
- While all care will be taken with entries, the organisers cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage incurred before, during and after the Festival.
Collection
Artwork can be collected from the Boonah Cultural Centre on Sunday 7th September from 9am – 12noon or after the Festival Finale on Saturday 6th September.
