Categories<\/span><\/h3>\n

Touch of Class:\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Emphasis is on the art of clothes making. Any fabric may be used. Outfits need to be sewn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Up-cycled:\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Using second-hand clothing or textile pieces e.g. tablecloths, baby clothes, etc. to make a completely fresh item.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wearable Art<\/span><\/b>:\u00a0 <\/span>No rules and restrictions in construction and materials except no more than 20% fabric can be used.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creative Kids: <\/span><\/b>Outfits designed and created with minimal assistance by an adult. Any material.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Prizes<\/span><\/h4>\n

General categories:\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a01st $350, 2nd $200
Creative Kids:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 1st $100, 2nd $75<\/p>\n

Prizes are presented on the night of the Festival Finale at the Cultural Centre on Saturday 5th<\/sup> September at 7pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Entry Conditions<\/span><\/h3>\n

  1. Entries close at 5pm on Monday 17th August.<\/li>\n
  2. An entry can only be entered in ONE category, but designers may have multiple entries per category. A different model is required for each entry.<\/li>\n
  3. Garments must fit through a normal door.<\/li>\n
  4. Up-cycled entries require a photo of the original material(s), uploaded on the entry form, identifying the piece by Competition, Category, and name of the work in the text.<\/li>\n
  5. Entries do not need to be sewn except for \u201cTouch of Class\u201d.<\/li>\n
  6. Entries are not judged on construction.<\/li>\n
  7. Collaborative entries require all names on the entry form.<\/li>\n
  8. An accessory item can be entered in any category.\u00a0 Models must wear black for all other clothing.<\/li>\n
  9. Models must attend the rehearsal, otherwise the entry may be disqualified.<\/li>\n
  10. Rehearsals will be in the afternoon of Saturday 6th September.\u00a0 Exact times will be emailed to you entered.<\/li>\n
  11. Outfits are not required at rehearsal.<\/li>\n
  12. Entries may be refused if deemed unsuitable or inappropriate.<\/li>\n
  13. It is the judges decision to award a prize or not in any category.\u00a0 The judge\u2019s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.<\/li>\n
  14. Entrants give permission for their work to be photographed for publicity purposes.<\/li>\n
  15. 2nd prize will only be awarded where there are 4 or more entries in the category.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
